I am a passionate peace educator that has been dedicated for most of my life to advancing peace, equality, joy, and sustainability for all. This stems from my deep commitment to the prevention of war, suffering, and environmental destruction, as I witnessed growing up in my home country of El Salvador.

I am particularly focused on serving young children and youth who live in rapidly globalizing communities by nurturing their 21st Century skills, such as global citizenship, cross-cultural collaboration, creative expression, adaptability, humor, nonviolent communication, and ecological stewardship. I have spent years studying and doing applied educational research work in various educational settings, from large school districts, to after-school programs, to rainforest camps, to small groups in a home environment.  I have started long-running educational enterprises and programs to this end, such as Three Seeds Eco-Education Camp and the Buenaventura Rainforest Retreat & Park in Costa Rica, which have served thousands of youth and students, both locally and from around the world. 

Under the umbrella of my own educational social enterprise, Conexiones Institute, and our team educators and parent helpers and numerous community partners, we served over 1000 children in the San Francisco Bay Area through popular programs such as AVENTURAS, Spanish through Fun, and Spanish through the Arts.
